Woman’s pregnancy is very special time in her life, and maternity sessions are suggested between weeks 28-32 of pregnancy. This is the best time to show off your baby bump. Sugar Baby Photography will help to consult your maternity session with different styles you may have in mind. If you feel unconformable showing your full figure in the photo, we will adjust to your wants and take partial bump pictures. Sugar Baby Photography wants to make every experience a positive experience with beautiful, artistic, and lasting images for each of our clients.

Newborn session
In order to capture the most natural expressions, our photo shoots typically last 1-4 hours. Sessions are very comfortable and laid back. Best results for newborn photography is within the first 10 days of life, and typically never older than two weeks. In addition to a variety of creative, artistic, and natural poses, we also take photographs utilizing wide selection of unique props and settings such as: hand knit hats, cocoons, slings, blankets, furs, bowls, baskets, variety of clothes, accessories for your baby.
IN-STUDIO NEWBORN SESSIONS
Newborn studio sessions can take place up to 3-4 weeks for a “natural” shoot, or up to 2 weeks for a posed session. Many clients like to mix a few poses with natural moments.
Sugar Baby Photography has a collection of bowls, baskets, blankets, knit hats and head bands in our studio. There is a queen-size bed as well as a wall of windows with natural light to create beautiful images.
Our team has a lot of experience of new born photo session with posing babies. We will never place your baby into an unsafe position.
We offer only in studio session for newborn baby. Our studio is located in San Mateo in a commercial building. Sometimes it is overwhelming thinking about leaving the house with your newborn shortly after birth. But the wonderful thing about coming to the studio is that all is set up and ready for your arrival. We have a lot of prop you could imagine and all you have to do is sit down and relax and watch us document your little angle. We take a limited amount of posed newborn sessions per month and shoots them on Mon-Fri.

Wanting to celebrate your baby's birthday with a smash? Let's celebrate ! Do you have a party theme that you want to incorporate? Let's include it! We are only limited by our creativity!
Capturing images of your baby turning one with their very first birthday cake is such a precious memory. Your baby will have lots of fun with a cake while they study it, touch it, smash it, eat it, and cover themselves in all that colorful, sticky yumminess. the session can be combined with other option such as bath, regular outfit and even Hanbok(Korean tradition) . cake smash session will revolve around the birthday child only, no family or sibling poses can or will be included. The first reaction is the most important and this guarantees that the moment is captured! In order to capture the most natural expressions, the session typically last 30 min in the studio.

Not all children will play in the cake, some children will actually spend more time eating the cake. This is perfectly okay and still makes for cute pictures! There is also the possibility that you child will want very little to nothing to do with the cake, that too is okay! Most parents come expecting their child to dig right in and play and get messy – this is not always the case! Each and every cake smash session is entirely unique!

We will ask during this portion of the session that you stand behind us very quietly and let us commend the attention of the child, if possible. The goal is to get as many shots as possible of the child looking at the camera, rather than at you.
Dohl & Hanbok session
About Dol Table (Hanbok) & Doljabi
Capturing images of your baby turning one with their Korean traditional Hanbok is such a precious memory. Your baby will have lots of fun with a Korean rice cake and props (Doljabi) while they study it, touch it, grab it and cover themselves in all that colorful! There is a lot involved in Hanbok session and a lot of images are shot. our photo shoots typically last 30min in the studio.

Please bring you baby Hanbok! If you don’t have it, please tell us. We will provide baby Hanbok(ONLY request). We do not provide real Rice Cakes, please bring yours! Otherwise we can do decorate with our props imitation rice cakes.

I typically book family portrait sessions at beaches, either early morning or just prior to sunset. These times are usually the best light. I’m flexible, and could also meet at your home or any other place you might like to photograph.
Session Details
My family photography sessions typically last 45-60 minutes. We have a lot of fun, play with the kids, pose for a few formal portraits, and endeavor capture many candid images in between. It’s a lot of fun!
